About Jon Gillies


Jon is a self motivated and determined designer with a proven record of excellence and reliability in all facets of design. He has strong management skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to work independently or with others. A creative professional dedicated to providing exceptional services for clients that include corporate, local government, retail and entertainment. Accustomed to working under pressure and meeting deadlines on multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining an emphasis on quality output. Jon is able to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously through use of time management practices and organizational strengths. He spent the past 20 years working with advertising and marketing agencies in Windsor and Detroit.

Jon has also been a professional musician. He has appeared on MUCH MUSIC television, The Very Roger Show, 89x radio, 101WRIF, CJAM, 98.7 Brooklyn radio, and regionally toured with his band “Problem to the Solution” from 1995-2001.

Jon has produced 4 music videos that have aired on MUCH MUSIC. Several of his commercials have appeared during Hockey Night in Canada on CBC. In 2016, Jon was tasked to produce and shoot a crucial interview with Italian television of Olympic champion Michael Phelps during the 13th FINA World Swimming Championships.

In March 2014, Jon released a feature-length documentary film entitled “Border City Music Project”, some of the cast include: Noam Chomsky, Mark Farner, Marc Maron, Philp H. Anselmo, and many other notable local and national names. It premiered to a sold-out Capitol Theatre in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, and also at the ‘Emagine Theatre’ in Royal Oak, Michigan.

As of 2025, Jon continues to advance and adapt as a highly skilled artist, continuing professional craftsmanship in design, photography, and video production.
