Founder/Executive Producer// Jon Gillies

Jon Gillies helps brands turn complex ideas into clear, high-impact design and visual content.

Jon is a multidisciplinary designer, photographer, and video producer with 20 years of experience delivering agency-grade creative for corporate, government, retail, and entertainment clients. Known for reliability, strong communication, and leadership, Jon is comfortable owning projects end-to-end or integrating seamlessly into a team, especially in fast-paced environments where quality and deadlines matter equally.

Jon spent two decades working alongside advertising and marketing agencies in Windsor and Detroit, producing design systems, campaign assets, and production-ready deliverables across print and digital. His workflow is grounded in organization and time management, allowing him to manage multiple priorities without losing attention to craft.

His creative career also spans music and broadcast media. As a professional musician, Jon toured regionally (Ontario, Michigan, and Illinois) with his band Problem to the Solution from 1995 to 2001, including a MuchMusic appearance in 1997. He has been featured across notable radio and TV outlets, including MuchMusic, The Adventures of Very Roger, 89X, 101WRIF, CJAM, 98.7FM Brooklyn Radio, and more.

Jon has produced four music videos that aired on MuchMusic, and several of his commercials have appeared during Hockey Night in Canada on CBC. In 2016, Jon was tasked with producing and shooting a crucial interview with Italian television featuring Olympic champion Michael Phelps during the 13th FINA World Swimming Championships (25 m), held at the WFCU Centre in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, from December 6–11, 2016. He has also collaborated regularly with Robin Taylor Zander of Cheap Trick on several albums and music videos—work produced for Jack Douglas, a legendary two-time Grammy-winning record producer whose discography includes John Lennon, Aerosmith, Cheap Trick, Alice Cooper, Patti Smith, the New York Dolls, and Mick Jagger.

In March 2014, Jon released the feature-length documentary film Border City Music Project, featuring voices such as Noam Chomsky, Mark Farner, Marc Maron, Philip H. Anselmo, and many other local and national contributors. The film premiered to a sold-out Capitol Theatre in Windsor, Ontario, and also screened at the Emagine Theatre in Royal Oak, Michigan.

As of 2026, Jon continues to advance and adapt as a highly skilled artist, combining design, photography, video production, and the emerging field of artificial intelligence to create clear, compelling communication that performs.
